Eagle Eye Observatory

The Eagle Eye Observatory is an unofficial dark sky location and is considered one of the best astronomic viewing sites in Texas. Enjoy night sky constellation tours and views of the universe. The observatory experience is led by astronomer Jim Sheets who makes the heavenly bodies both interesting and understandable for adults and kids. When cloudy weather does not permit telescope viewing, the astronomer provides a program via a large screen television with planetarium software, videos, and comprehensive interactive Q/A sessions.

Sessions are offered DAILY at 8 pm and 9 pm Sunday thru Thursday and 8 pm, 9 pm, and 10pm Friday & Saturday. We must fill up the entire timeslot before we open the next.  

Reservations are required and may be made at check-in or by calling prior to your arrival at 512-334-2070 ext. 1.  

Private sessions are available through Guest Services for availability and price.
