We would be remiss not to discuss the 300-pound gorilla in the room named COVID and his sidekick DELTA and why Canyon of the Eagles should be on your travel radar during the pandemic?
Not only because nature is a great healer for the mind, body, and spirit, but because Canyon of the Eagles is Low-vid© (our coined phrase) which means an activity or place with a low-risk exposure to COVID. Guestrooms have no shared HVAC system with other rooms. Once your room is cleaned and sanitized no one reenters. No hallways or elevators are needed to access your room. Indoor public spaces at the resort are few but those that are, are equipped with sanitizing stations. Our staff is required to wear masks and have a temperature check before getting out of their car.
Dining options include phone orders and take-out, plenty of outdoor seating including the Overlook Restaurant’s deck with views of the lake and countryside. Patio seating is ample and indoor seating has been reduced to 50%.
Activities and programs are geared towards outdoor experiences such as kayaking, nature trail walks or bike rides, small group pontoon boat rides around the canyon, music under the stars, the open-air observatory, and guided nature walks.
